Solar panels for a cleaner future
At vertisol, we have taken an important step towards sustainability by installing more than 600 solar panels at our plants in Moraña and Granollers. This investment has enabled us to reduce our annual electricity tariff by 22%. More importantly, we avoided the emission of 105 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. This achievement is equivalent to planting nearly 14,000 trees and saving nearly 44 tons of oil, thus contributing to the conservation of our natural resources. The electric self-consumption system allows us to contribute to the energy transition and the fight against climate change. The Galician company specialized in self-consumption and industrial energy efficiency, EiDF Solar, has been responsible for the installation in both plants.
People’s health and respect for the environment are our priorities. We are proud to say that we reduce our carbon footprint with 100% domestic production, reducing the need for transportation and minimizing the associated carbon emissions. In addition, we implemented technologies and processes that have allowed us to reduce water consumption by practically 100%, thus promoting a responsible use of this valuable resource.
Fabrics for sustainable architecture
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have developed recycled and recyclable fabrics. We use recycled materials in our manufacturing processes, giving them a new life. In addition, vertisol fabrics are designed to be recycled at the end of their useful life, minimizing their environmental impact.
These fabrics are not only categorized as sustainable because of their components, but also because their properties improve the energy efficiency of buildings. Helping companies to reduce their energy consumption and minimize their impact on the environment.
