Ecological manufacturing has always been a challenge to vertisol, as we are commited to developing products that are both good for humans and the environment.
Sustainable buildings guarantee the well-being of their occupants and this is why we are committed to the manufacture of sustainable fabrics made from recycled materials and renewable resources, and 100% recyclable. A clear example are our products produced using yarns made from post-consumer recycled polyester (PET) bottles from selective collection.
These fabrics are certified Cradle to Cradle™, one of the strictest sustainability certifications that encourages product innovation based on the circular economy. The certification takes into account factors such as material health, material reuse, water and energy use in the manufacturing process and social responsibility.
Fabrics made from post-consumer bottles (PET)
At Vertisol we believe in a better approach to eco-friendly use of PET. Recycled polyester yarns are regular quality yarns with identical characteristics to those produced from virgin raw materials. This is why we produce products such as Planet FR, EcoPlanet FR and EcoPlanet FR SRC, plain and semi-transparent fabrics made from recycled PET.
A square meter of EcoPlanet FR and Planet FR is made of 4-6 thrown away bottles.
Fabrics made from plastics collected at the sea bottom (PET)
It is estimated that 75% of the waste is in the depths of the sea and only 25% in on the surface. For every kilo of filament, we remove 1 kilo of trash from the depths of the sea.
SeaPlanet FR is a 100% recycled fabric and recyclable. A high percentage of its composition is made by recycled plastic collected at the bottom of the sea.
With SeaPlanet FR we help to clean the ocean at the same time we offer to our customers a technical textile solution for the manufacturing of roller blinds.
Fabrics made from renewable resources (PLA)
We live in a society increasingly aware of the importance of protecting our environment and generating the least impact on it. In response to this need, at vertisol we manufacture fabrics from renewable sources such as our Pledge FR fabric, which is mostly made from PLA (polylactic acid) and a significant amount of recycled PET.
Pledge FR is manufactured with an innovative technology, and is a fabric free of components such as PVC, halogen, formaldehyde or lead, at the same time as meeting the highest fire protection standards.
At vertisol we know that the manufacture of this type of products offers a respectful and ecological response for the development of pleasant and healthy spaces for human beings.
